NAIL COURSE EXPANDS HOURS
You asked for it - We have delivered!
NECCE is pleased to announce the expansion of the Nail Technology Program to 150 hours. The state-mandated 100 hour requirement is insufficient to prepare nail students for the variety of services offered in salons and spas for today's savvy clients.
NECCE has always strived to offer the most up to date and thorough educational experience, and our nail instructors have the knowledge to fulfill that obligation.
In order for nail technicians to be competitive in today's work force, where the demand for skilled nail technicians exceeds the supply, our students need more practical hands-on experience. Our current curriculum will now include additional hours in the following modalities:
PHASE II
Practical:
- Basic Manicure
- Pedicure
- French Manicure
- Pink and White - Acrylic French Manicure
- Artificial Nails: Acrylics, Gels, and Wraps
- Nail Art
- Electric File - Overview
- Airbrushing - Overview
Lecture
- Resume and Job Search Class
- Retail Class
- Guest Speakers/Artists (when time allows)
Students will still be eligible to take the state board exam after successfully completing the first 100 hours* while completing the last 50 hours.
*Because the school is a competency-based program, students will be monitored for fulfilling school obligations, including all tests, projects, assignments and practical modalities.
